To enhance the garden party feel I was going for, I took it one step further and created a rustic elegant dinner party, accented with burlap and galvanized metal. These two textures, combined with the craft paper napkin holders, yellow daffodil floral arrangements, and romantic string lights created the perfect ambiance for a memorable dinner party!

This party’s theme centered on the food – after all, it is a huge part of any event! Since the guest of honor loves pizza, we went with a pizzeria theme and hired a pizza food truck to cater the event, which guests loved! The red and white gingham table cloths added to the theme of the outdoor party, and we added red lanterns to the string lights to create height and carry the theme throughout. Dessert was a create-your-own sundae bar, which is a fun and interactive way to provide dessert to guests. They had so much fun making their own ice cream creation.

This was such a fun shower! The guest of honor wanted an elephant themed shower to match her nursery. I used minimal decor with neutral colors such as gray and white. I incorporated pinwheels and streamers for an understated circus theme. The couple were both aggies fans, so maroon accents were the perfect touch!

This was a very special baby shower for me to plan because the couple of honor was fostering to adopt. Since I didn’t know the gender(s) of the children who would be placed with them, I went with a modern, gender-neutral color scheme of mint and peach. The yarn accent to the vases of the floral arrangements added the perfect finishing touch to the food table and a lot of visual interest.
